REPLACES THE MICROPLEX F140 MODEL

High speed printing, high volume continuous forms printer that provides you with exceptional reliability, outstanding printing quality and economical printing. With this printing system, you can switch between 240 and 300 dots per inch (dpi) of resolution. Based on the proven IBM 3900 Advanced
Printer Technology feature, the system offers printing of all addressable points in two models.

First impressions at speeds of up to 354 impressions per minute (ipm) for 2-up printing on 8.5 x 11-inch paper or up to 333 ipm for 2-page printing on A4 paper (8.33 x 11.67 inches) . The second model prints at speeds of up to 501 impressions per minute (ipm) for printing 2 in 8.5 x 11-inch paper or up to 472 ipm for 2-up printing on A4 paper (8.33 x 11.67 inches) ).

Cost-effective continuous forms printing of the IBM 4000 INFOPRINT 4000 with a 17-inch-wide printing line • 240/300-dpi resolution saber • Speeds up to 501 two 8.5 x 11-inch drives or 472 two-sided A4 prints per minute depending of the model • Powerful control unit with advanced operator interface and flexible accessory capabilities

In addition, by combining the IBM 4000 INFOPRINT 4000 Printing Systems of the company Unique positioning of the page with the control unit, you can print up to four logical pages on a sheet. Each page can have a different size and sequenced, rotated and positioned as desées. This can easily be done outside of your application programs.

Print speed - Black and White TS1 Simplex: up to 381 ipm, 2 up to 8.5x11 portrait

Operating environment

The print contrast control allows the operator to adjust the printing darkness.
Achieving optimal print quality depends on the quality of the paper.
Supplies: The IBM InfoPrint 4000 IR3 / IR4 uses the InfoPrint 4000/3900 toner and developer mix. The remaining supplies are also the same as those of the InfoPrint 4000 IR1 / IR2 printing system.
Duty Cycle: The IBM InfoPrint 4000 IR3 / IR4 has the following monthly printing capabilities.

Paper handling IBM 4000 Infoprint 4000

Continuous input forms: the InfoPrint 4000-IR3 / IR4 printers have a 16-inch (406 mm) paper delivery capacity of fan-fold paper.

The installation of special feature number 4710 (one comes standard on each engine) provides the accessory for high capacity roll feed devices that will allow the customer to fully utilize the high productivity capabilities of the IBM InfoPrint 4000 family. Roll feed input allow continuous printing of several hours between loading paper.

There is a standard splice station to minimize waste and increase operator efficiency.

Continuous output forms: IBM InfoPrint 4000-IR3 / IR4 printers are supplied with a stacker on each motor with a maximum paper capacity of up to 14 inches (356 mm) in height. The actual height can be adjusted by the operator to limit the weight of the paper output stack. The stacker can stack paper with lengths between 7 and 14 inches (178 to 356 mm).

The ability to connect post-processing equipment (function numbers 4710 and 4720) allows additional input and output capabilities.

Paper Sizes: InfoPrint 4000-IR3 / IR4 paper sizes are:

  • Width:
    • 9 to 18 inches (229 to 457 mm, continuously variable) in duplex
9 to 18 inches (229 to 457 mm, continuously variable) in simplex
The maximum printing width is 17 inches (432 mm).
  • Length:
    • Lengths from 3 * to 25 inches (75 to 625 mm) (in 1/3 and 1/2 inch increments) The
      standard stacker supports 7 * to 14 inches (178 to 350 mm)
      3 * to 25 ** inches (75 at 625 mm) with post-processing from
14 to 25 ** inches (350 to 625 mm), the lengths can be printed but can not be stacked with the standard stacker.
When printing from 14 to 25 inches in length, the use of proper post-processing equipment is recommended.

* Lengths less than 7 inches (178 mm) are folded into multiples by the form provider and the stacker. (For example, 3.5-inch-long forms can be folded every 7 inches.) ** There are limitations on the maximum page size that an application program can address. If you have a requirement for a page over 22.7 inches, it is recommended that you contact your IBM representative or call Techline at 888-426-5525 for a review of the application.

Paper weights: the InfoPrint 4000-IR3 / IR4 printers are compatible with the following paper weights:

  • From 16 to 28 pounds (60 to 105 g / m2) in duplex mode
  • From 16 to 28 pounds (60 to 105 g / m2) in simplex and double simplex mode
